There can be several factors that may increase your estimated price. We have created a list below of the things to look out for when fetch an estimate through our builder. Some things we are unable to quote for online and would need to quote for seperately, we will contact you if this is the case.
- Colour Blending – This is when damage is close to another panel on the vehicle and we have to ‘blend’ the colour to ensure a perfect colour match. Typically on metallic and pearlescent colours. Prices from £150.00+VAT per panel
- Custom colour wheels – Custom colours and effects are at an additional cost. Price on enquiry.
- Damage parts – Prices on new parts vary from vehicle to vehicle and therefore need to be calculated separately.
- Cracked or bent wheels – Sometimes when a wheel is damaged it may have a slight crack or bend which would result in leaking air pressure. To repair these, it is at an extra cost.
- Larger panels – Panels on a Range Rover are much larger than say, a Renault Clio, therefore there would be an increased cost for the larger panels. For example a medium size repair on the bonnet of a Clio would roughly be: £350.00+VAT however the same damage on a larger Range Rover bonnet would be more like £450.00+VAT.
- Extra Large damage – Some damages can be quite substantial. Please note, these can vary from vehicle to vehicle and panel to panel. Price on enquiry.
- The severity of damage is interpreted differently between every customer. A rule of thumb: Small damage is anything the size of a coin, Medium damage is no larger than 3-4 inches and anything bigger is classed as large or extra large damage. Please note, different areas of a vehicle require different techniques of repair, some of which require extra cost. For example, a damaged sill, although a small panel, is extremely tough and therefore takes a lot more work than a front wing.
